GROW your own!

How great would it be if we all knew how to produce some of our own food and had a way to do it?

This week at the Market on Military, Margaret, from the Brown County UW-Extension Community Gardens and Military Avenue will help get you started with a green bean seed or a kale seed. Plant one to take home with you and grow in a 12″ pot on your porch or put it in your garden.

Kale chips are my new favorite snack food and they are guilt-free, healthy! A little olive oil and some salt or seasoning, roast in a 350 degree oven for 10+ minutes, flipping once or twice and BANG, crunchy kale chips. Kale is available most of the year in Wisconsin. It is already at the Market on Military!
