Lee’s Garden at the Market

Lee’s Garden tent at the Market on Military is bursting with good stuff!

Generations of experienced growers in this family yield beautiful produce and a friendly staff of sellers. When we stopped by the booth this day, the grand daughter was arranging beautiful bouquets of flowers and piling the tables with garden fresh veggies!

Stop by their booth to say hi and try some of the HOT peppers. I got a lesson on how to eat them. Now I just need to get up the courage to do so. Lees Garden hot chili reLees Garden flowers Lees Garden beetscarrots re Lees Garden potatoe re

Kao’s Roasted Corn

A new twist for me – roasted corn OFF the cob and in a bowl. I had to try it.

corn 1A little liquid butter, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese, WOW! This was all I wanted in corn-on-the-cob without it getting all over my face and and stuck in my teeth. Kao corn reThe perfect way to eat it in public, for me, that is. Kao’s Roasted Corn has both!

A true family business, Kao’s Roasted Corn has three generations of the family working over a HOT roaster. Grandpa may be the sampler, while the others serve up a sweet dish, or cob, to Market on Military customers.
