A Sunny Boutique and Classic Designs Salon are celebrating the opening of a brand new location!
1218 S Military Avenue in Green Bay’s Vernon Court
May 10th to 14th – Refreshments 9:30 AM to close
Everyone is welcome to see the new space! The Grand Opening events and refreshments will be served Tuesday, May 10 to Saturday, May 14th all day, starting when they open at 9:30 AM. Stop by to see the beautiful renovated space. Check out the special sales and enter to win prizes!
The new location combines the two businesses into a larger, integrated space. Jayne and Natalie, mother and daughter, love the extra room and being together. Everything is new and classic except the same long-time customers. Everyone was able to find them as they outgrew their long-time location across the street.
Jayne and the other salon stylists offer hair care and styling services for men and women. Many of them are accepting new clients! Call ahead for an appointment. 920-498-0813
Natalie coordinates the boutique and tanning services. Many of the products compliment the salon and a great day of self-care and pampering. After your new hair du, grab a tan and a new outfit! You will find specialty clothing, essential must-have items, and practical products for you and your home.
You can stop in to shop anytime or call for a tanning appointment and shop during your scheduled time. The boutique and tanning can be reached at the same phone number – 920-498-0813!
Need a good book? Stop in and welcome Bethe and Scott to the Military Avenue business team!
Bethe Lane may look familiar but after being a manager for the past four years, she is the new owner of The Book Stop in the Beacon Center. Bethe and her father, Scott Batterham, recently purchased the shop and have already started to remodel and add their touch.
Expanding space and opening up a relaxing reading area are just some things on the list.
If you are already a customer of the Book Stop, you will be happy to know that many things will stay the same. The current shop gift certificates and vouchers will still be honored.
Isles of books and a large list of book-exchange customers guarantee that there will always be a new book for you to read at the Book Stop.
In addition to running the Book Stop, Bethe is active in her Fireman’s Park Neighborhood Association and lives there. She is also active in her children’s school and local events.
Petco will soon move in next door to Burlington! Thanks to H.J. Martin and Son for investing in business on Military Avenue! We are excited for all the improvements and new businesses calling Military Avenue home. Watch the corner of Military and W Mason!
Brand new items are filling the corner of Fisk and West Mason Streets at the new Get It Now! store. They are open M-F 10AM – 7PM, Saturday 9AM – 6PM, Sunday Closed.
I met David, the new manager at the Green Bay location. They are headquartered in Texas and have locations all across the State of Wisconsin. This is their second Green Bay location. They are offering some deals for their grand opening at the west side location. Stop in to see the supply. They did a beautiful job remodeling this space!
Welcome Zach Szymik, the new owner of 712 S Military Avenue.
It may be a strange time to open a business but car repair never stops. (dang it!) In fact, this could be the perfect time to get that work done that you have been putting off. You’re driving less and have more time to focus on maintenance.
Zach took over the former Naniot’s Auto Service after Bob retired in March 2020. He is no stranger to the automobile business. He also owns a car lot and auto repair on the east side of Green Bay.
The ole’ guys are still in the shop on Military and waiting for you to stop by. A new phone number may have confused a few people. Try 920-857-1008 to set up an appointment! Zach also plans a face lift for the shop.
As we all work to conform to our new norm of social distancing and “Safer at Home” orders, food is one thing we all still need. Military Avenue is a great location to find food. Take home and make it, or get it to-go, we have many options.
Click on the Business name below to link to their Facebook page. Businesses, restaurants, and the markets are still offering an abundance of food for you! As we all take precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, click their link, call ahead, or drive by to find out the details of service for each business.

The businesses, offices and restaurants on Military Avenue want you to know that they are open for business!
We will continue to offer the great services you have come to expect, just in a new way.
In an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19, we have taken extra measures to clean, practice social distancing, limit the number of people gathering, and still offer you the things you want and need. In fact, we hope that you will continue to shop at our many service, retail, office, and restaurants while we work through this uncertain time. We are working together for the good of all.
Based on the State guidelines, businesses are practicing social distancing. This is a recommendation of staying 6 feet away from others and avoiding contact. Avoid hand shakes or people that are sick or sneezing.
If you are in the high-risk group, you need to be extra careful. Most of our businesses will come to your car, find a delivery option, or instruct you how to work with them on-line or over the phone. There really are many options for still getting the things you need. Even Alderman John Vander Leest, has offered to help out where needed.
All restaurants must only offer take out food as to not subject a group of more than 10 to gather. They will be very accommodating to your needs as we all want this to work for everyone. Drive-up, pick-up, delivery to your home, are options at most of the Military Avenue restaurants. Hours have been shortened for some, so call ahead.
The Winter Market on Military is looking at a call or email order system for your products. If you need some of your regular market items, email us at Director@MilitaryAve.org or call 920-544-9503 to place an order. The details are still being worked out for a drive-through market pick up.
The main point is that we are working together for the good of all, and we want to make sure you can relax and know that someone is here to help you get the services and supplies that you need. Look out for your friends and neighbors and always play it safe!

The PlaGrnd urban clothing store is one of the first in the area.
Located at 1489 W Mason Street in the Green Bay Plaza and on-line
Are you looking for something unique? PlaGrnd has premium clothing at great prices. It will be hard to chose from the fun designs and colors.
PlaGrnd is a colorful clothing store that recently opened a location in the Green Bay Plaza and also has an online store.
They carry a variety of high quality, boutique clothing for men and boys. The street-ware styles are popular with the young urbanites and cutting edge, fashion conscience people. The store owner, Synika, plans to add to the collection as he gets more established.
“No other store carries these jeans.” Synika said, referring to the distressed, dyed, and funked up denim. Jeans run from $65 to $125, which is a steal for this style. If you talk to him, he can make a deal with you to get a complete new wardrobe. He is very knowledgeable about what is available and can customize it just for you.
PlaGrnd also has local art for sale. Prints, originals and stickers by local artists are part of the decor and the merchandise. Even some of the clothing is designed by local clothing designers.
They are currently open from 11-8 PM at 1489 W Mason, near Papa Murphys. Stop by to see them! Plagrndclothing.com
